Dear Colleague,

Happy New Year!

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of PIDCON 2016, it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 3rd National Conference on Primary Immunodeficiency diseases (PIDCON 2016), which is scheduled on March 12 and 13, 2016 at New Delhi. The Indian Society of Primary Immune Deficiency (ISPID) in collaboration with the Foundation for Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases (FPID, USA) is organizing this conference.

ISPID since its inception in March 2011 has grown exponentially and the group includes doctors, researchers and students who are interested in the field of primary immune deficiencies. Its objectives are to be advocates for patient care, encourage scientific collaboration between members and facilitate research and medical care for these patients in India. The organization has been mentored by the Foundation for Primary Immunodeficiency in USA.

Primary Immunodeficiency has been a previously neglected speciality as the awareness has been lacking in the scientific community. The potential of this field is immense as these diseases can present at any age group, and can present in a multitude of clinical manifestations all of which may be missed by treating team unless looked into specifically. It is also a rapidly evolving field with great strides being made in both molecular biology and treatment such as stem cell transplantation and gene therapy. ISPID congresses in the past have generated remarkable interest among young investigators, primary care physicians, pediatricians and bone marrow transplant physicians.

The event will include lectures, symposia, free paper and poster sessions where eminent international and national faculty and delegates will participate. We invite you to attend the congress, discuss diagnostic and treatment dilemmas with international and national experts, submit your work in this field and encourage junior colleagues to pursue this field as a potential career and research opportunity. The conference will also showcase the latest in diagnostic services and therapy for patients with PID and promises excellent academic interactions.

Please find the details for registration, scientific sessions, faculty, abstract submission, accommodation and exhibition space as you navigate this website. Looking forward to your esteemed presence at Delhi to make this event a grand success with your support and participation.
